I got a question and only need a yes or no answer.

Will this really work and make KClO3

Video.

If your hookah charcoal lights as easy as the coal shown in the video, it probably will. Where I live, they use sodium chlorate, so it might not work with all brands. I wish they used potassium chlorate here, it lights up in seconds where I have to wait at least 2 minutes for the coal to burn properly.

Yep, I smoke hookah and I like it :P , especially apple and tropical flavor.

You also inhale large amount of carbon monoxide when smoking the hookah with charcoal...that's why you get that flushed feeling. Be careful.

Mormanman, I'm curious. Have you seen the South Park episode about the Mormons?

LOL, yes some of it is complete crap but some is semi correct. Funny show and I'm surprised no one has asked me about it yet.

I'm also kind of surprised that you didn't say anything about the KClO3 out of the Hookah charcoal.

Oh, it was in regard to the hookah charcoal post, and actually had nothing to do with your religous beliefs.

Everytime you post, I get that song in my head.

Mormanman just made a post, it was dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb

I'm still working on a smart smart smart smart smart line.

LOL. You might be lucky that I'm light hearted.

TS, I would wonder what happened and get a little upset but I would get over it.

Geez, my body is pumping adrenaline real hard...

I'll tell you if I got it or not.

Nope to the forum. The forum turns 8 today. Technically it's the date we established what officially was APC forum, when we broke away from xinventions, but no one really knows when it got started. It is the establishment of APC, backdated to when the founding members got together. Of which, I may be the only remaining one. Frkonaleash, Rooster, and a few others go way back too though. We even had a female mod when I first joined.

Its weird to think that I've been a mod for exactly 5 years now.

And to not contaminate my previous post while replying to mormanman.

#1 It's called titanium.

#2 It isn't crossetting

You may find similar devices by searching for "devil amongst the tailor"

AHA! Another use for my 10 mesh Ti coming soon! Surprised I have not got any other ideas, especially given the creativity of this group. Something not in the search? :{)

You can use it to make glittering birthday candles.

Heh think I'll avoid the close prox stuff. I'm sure it was just a weakened tube <Reclaimed from a comm 12 shot 1" cake> but I had a starmine go M on me the other night. I prefer LONG fuses!

Well, psyco_1322 and I learned a bit more about our strange armstrong titanium.

http://www.itponline.com/index_files/ArmProcess.htm

http://www.itponline.com/index_files/ASMarticle.pdf

Basicly titanium tetrachloride vapor is spraying into a stream (of molten sodium metal) continously and the end product is continously being extracted.

TiCl4 + Na ---> NaCl + Ti

In an inert atmosphere of course.

I'm going to send a sample to Theodore Gray, the element collector with the experiments column in Popular Science soon.

I took some pictures and did a burn test in case anyone is interested.

I decided last week to not even LOOK at my next 401k statement when it arrives. I fear I'd be too tempted to slit my wrists. ;)

Just turned on the News. The Dow is down about 600 points today. Lowest closing in over 5 years. "Freefall" doesn't even come close. :(

That armstrong process Ti is reported to be extremely reactive. I believe it was Lloyd S who commented he got some of it, and it was causing all of his gerbs to explode.

Looks like its time for me to start investing on some stock here. :)
